Versatility is the principle of the Bronze Log. It is a straightforward stand alone instrument if that is your requirement, and is also a fully NMEA compatible and interfaceable, if that is more appropriate to your needs. The Bronze Log brings all the features of far a more expensive instrument into one neat package (no need for a separate control box here!) - and a number of completely unique new ideas too.
The Bronze Log can use our paddle wheel transducer. NMEA speed and log information can also be repeated from any other source. Speed, log, trip log, speed history are all shown and there is a wide calibration adjustment.
Bronze Log is a fully functional GPS Repeater, displaying Current Position, Course and Distance to Waypoint, COG and SOG. The innovative steering screen displays course to Waypoint on a simulated compass card and has an off course arrow showing course over ground. NMEA input can also be accepted from any other NMEA compatible depth or log, including our own Forward Looking Sonar. In addition, NMEA speed, log, and GPS information is output.
The Bronze range uses a transflective, backlit, high definition LCD matrix for maximum visibility in all conditions from bright sunlight to night time. The versatility of the matrix enables the instruments to be menu driven, rather than controlled with awkward combinations of button presses. Using a menu system the instrument can be operated simply using just two buttons. Matrices also surpass ordinary alphanumeric displays in other ways, the latter often do not have enough characters to impart all information and so show strange part digits instead.
The flush mount case, in industry standard dimensions, matches our Bronze Forward Looking Sonar. The exposed front is waterproof. Fitting is simple and a stirrup bracket is provided. There is an optional protective white cover.
